We started out as just three ex servicemen helping those who are homeless, living in poverty and our Veterans here in Scotland by continuing to serve our country and now our numbers are growing. This has allowed us to reach out to all the corners of Scotland. We are a modern day Knights Templar charity, dedicated to seeking the good in our lives and promoting care and respect for our communities. We are here to help those in need in Scotland wherever we can. We support the poor and the sick, people living in poverty the homeless and our Veterans. In short, we are a charitable group and a peaceful one.
We are an independent charity and we will remain that way. We are a non-political charity and we have no ties with any other Knights Templar groups, the Masons or similar organisations. We do not in any way shape or form claim to be a direct lineage to the original Knights Templars, but we do seek their positive attributes in our daily lives today.
We raise funds throughout the year to make up Care Packages for the homeless, our Veterans and those living in poverty. We aim to make up 250 Care Packages per quarter and with the help of our members and volunteers we distribute these to those in need free of charge. We are in the process of raising funds for a small soup van so that we can feed, hand out packages, educate and collect donations.
We help anyone we can as practically as possible. We help the homeless, Veterans, those in poverty, or those who have just fallen on hard times and need short term help.
Why not? We are all ex-serviceman of our Armed Forces. We have served Queen and Country without question. We were taught Loyalty, Love & Discipline and through our actions we earned Respect, Trust & Honour. Through research we respected the ethos, vows, ethics of do no wrong, protect the vulnerable, and principles of the original order of the Knights Templar. We wanted to bring this back into service but modernise it. Our group will be open to anyone who shares in our passion for helping others. We are a group without discrimination to age, religion, faith, disabilities and sexual orientation.
We are located in Fife Scotland, however we cover the whole of Scotland from county to county, city to city and town to town.
We work all year round but we do our Care Package drops every quarter. These are usually the months of March, June, September and December.
Our logo is a combination of the Knights Templar cross and the St Andrews cross encircled in a chain. We use the red Knights Templar cross as named after our group and our beliefs in protecting and helping others as they did. St Andrew is our patron saint, we use this cross as we are Scottish people based in Scotland, helping those in Scotland. The chain signifies strength, connection and unity. We are connected link by link and are stronger together.
We are funded in several ways, self funding, donations from family, friends and the public and grants and donations from companies.
